not for sissies. (N)
Over the last few years, my 'stuff' has really started to pack it in.
I've had to upgrade my glasses, because I was making that face my dad makes when he's trying to read something. You know the one.
My hips are knackered, my knees are buggered. I can't hear half the stuff my kids say, and my hands hurt by the end of the day.
Growing older is tough.

I have chronic fatigue and carpal tunnel (and 2 kids). By the end of the day I've got swollen nodes in my neck, throbbing hips (and not in the sexy way romance novelists write about!), sore back and a headache, and hands that wont mash potatoes :/ And I'm only in my 20s! I can't imagine what aging is going to do to me!! You've got plenty of good years left in you yet, though!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! and I thought dodgy knees and hips were bad!
DeleteI know about that reading face, I'm doing it myself. I had an eye test last Friday and discovered my right eye is doing all the work while my left eye isn't seeing much more than a blur. so new glasses are on the way, I hope they're ready soon, even TV is hard to see properly now.
ReplyDeleteOh, River, I hope they help! it's tiring, not being able to see properly.
DeleteYes. To all that you've mentioned and everyone elses own and different stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo just make sure that whatever causes all the pain at the end of the day is SO MUCH FUN that you smile with the memory as you spa/massage/rest your aching self.
*hugs* for making the face your Daddy makes - that is hilarious!
Yeah, yesterday I was gardening, which I quite enjoy. The housework is not horribly rewarding though.
DeleteAin't this the truth ...... getting older really *SUCKS* not even going to start on my body... LOL but Toni .. remember ... its not the LIFE OF the package .. but the LIFE IN THE PACKAGE that counts xxxxx
ReplyDeleteAh, so true!
