best EVER Christmas tip

This is the best Christmas tip I have.

Get yourself a cheap spiral-bound notebook, and cover it with pretty paper.

Now glue or tape the FRONT of an envelope to the inside BACK cover of the notebook, like so.

VOILA. You have yourself a Christmas organiser.

Use the notebook for lists, gift ideas etc, and store all your receipts in the envelope in case anything needs to be returned.

I made myself this one in a hurry about 5 years ago, so it's functional rather than pretty, but they also make a nice little gift idea, especially if you take a little care and use a pretty envelope etc.

  1. That is a great idea! I am always looking for my various lists which I have finally stapled together and then remembering to put those receipts into a stray envelope in the present cupboard. This idea is much better!

  3. Love it.
Had started the notebook - minus the Christmas touch and envelope.
    Thank you.

  4. Wow that is easy to do and handy as well. I'm not very craftsy, but this is something that even I can do. I can't believe Christmas is so close!! I just have to fit a double Christening and a 5th birthday party in before then *hyperventilating* and I'll be sweet.

  5. Yeah I hear you Romina. I have sons' b'day, wedding anniversary, sons' b'day, Christmas, New Years', daughters' b'day -- all in the next 6 weeks.

  6. I used to think a Christmas organiser was a good idea, even though I never had one. What I do instead is allocate several notepaper pages in my Dayplanner diary, use one of those "today" type dividers that look like a little ruler (label it Christmas), and list who needs a pressie, and what to get them, who needs a card, and their addresses if I need to send something. as each gift (card) is bought, I tick off the name. Done. Decorating needs no such list and I don't do Christmas cooking apart from mince pies, so I don't need shopping lists of ingredients that need to be bought and when to buy them.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I love to hear what you have to say even if you disagree with me. I have only one request -- please keep it polite.
Thankyou.
