a WEDDING! how excitement!

So they're engaged at last!

I feel ancient. I remember when Wills was born, and his first visit to Australia as a baby. Now he's getting married, and soon to have his own children.

I read an on-line comment this morning about The Ring.

Someone said that he should have bought her a new one. I disagree. I think William and Harry both adored their mum, and for William to give Kate that ring is so symbolic of how much he loves her. It's beautiful.

The papers are saying a spring or summer wedding, so maybe June? Whatever. I will be glued to the telly on the day, and I'm sure I won't be the only person remembering our Fairytale Princess.

  1. Gosh! If you feel ancient remembering Wills' birth, imagine how prehistoric those of us who recall the excitement of (then) Lady Di's engagement announcement and the first appearance of THAT RING feel!!

    Happy travels!

  4. I remember when.... Congratulations to the very happy couple. The ring is a great loving gesture to his mum and to allow Kate to wear it says a lot about the Young prince.

  6. I did look after his Mum a long time ago when I was in the police force and she was stunning, I also got invited up to his aunty's room on one of her visits once, but didn't go. I hope the tragedies don't repeat themselves.

  11. Can't believe how the papers here in the UK are dissecting the issue of whether or not he should have given her Diana's ring.

It's his choice and it only affects her. So if they're happy, that's that.

There - my 2 cents worth!!
